From the start, Primrose Hill has had various ‘dining rooms’, ‘coffee rooms’ and ‘cafes’. Mustoe’s was probably the first eating establishment in the area which was not merely functional but – with its wooden benches and candles in chianti bottles on bare tables – a ‘trendy’ yet affordable place to go for an evening out: the first proper ‘restaurant’.
